The very interesting and richly coloured masque or pantomimic play, was invented sometime in 1894 or possibly a little earlier. It was written, not for publication, but as a personal gift to the author’s friend and friend of his family, Mrs. Chan Toon.
The story of a girl who lived her life waiting for her lover in the memories of the few days they spent together and of a woman who gave her life for him. It is this transition of her from a girl to a woman,a sensitive girl to a mother of two,that is portrayed in this story.
