Eyes in the Sky

Istand Khent lives a simple life in the woods with his brother Roland and his grandmother May just outside of the village of Kynera. While he notices he looks nothing like the local inhabitants, and that his family is treated with scorn, it does nothing to quell his desire to learn. In Kynera, however, questions are strictly forbidden. When the steward of the King takes dangerous interest in his family, Istand and Roland, along with their childhood friend Giera, must set out on a journey to escape his clutches. Once away from their isolated home, the three children realize they know nothing of life in Penlamar. Regardless, in the east lies their safety, and there may be even more deadly forces on their trail.
