Detective Smith is on vacation. Detective Rage with the Inspector investigate two deaths in a UW four story frat house. Two boys, a junior and a freshman are found in the frat’s elevator dead covered in blood. The blood is from the freshman. The cause of death can’t be found by either the Inspector’s people or the UW medical team. The old frat house has a secret room with access through the elevator shaft when it is not in the basement.
The two boys never have anything in common but where they stay. The freshman is in a wheelchair and has a room on the first floor. Rage brings Jones under cover as a football prospect to see what goes on in the frat house.
Some rare metals and chemical salts are later found in the freshman’s blood. But the levels are such he had to have been exposed to them as a junior in high school. Federal agencies are involved with the material found.
The UW team finds the blood covering both victims is the freshman’s blood, but it is over 3 weeks old.
How does the Madam fit in to all of this?
