A Rising Knight: Vol1, Issue 9.

It’s time to meet the other side of the coin. Gaidan Blackblade, High Councilor of the Wizard Empire has just had a gauntlet thrown at his feet. He will not pick it up in fury and in fire. That is not his way. He is the cold knife in the dark. The Inquisitor

Vlad was a killer by fifteen, a warrior by sixteen, a revolutionary by seventeen and a legend by eighteen. He won't live to be nineteen. These are first steps Vlad will take to define his destiny. He will be born in darkness and baptized in blood. He will choose a name and standard. He will spit at the feet of god and slay his angels.

A Rising Knight: Vol1, Issue 9 – Declaration is the ninth issue from the first volume of an anthology short story series chronicling the journey of a half wizard living in New York. The first volume covers the start of the three journeys he will take to becoming the most hunted wizard in history.

Excerpt

“Were you able to apprehend any suspects?” If she had, Gaidan would have been told but it was important to ask the question where others could see.

“No, my lord. We’ve searched every person passing through the nexus and teams of hunters are conducting searches throughout the city. Thus far, however, we don’t have any leads as to the whereabouts of this…Wraith.”

“Do not call this Knight by that ridiculous appellation.” Gaidan gave the colonel a very sharp look “It is a mask and we will not dignify.”

“As you command, my lord.” Pommelclaw inclined her head. “I am certain that this attack is connected to the Knight we were tracking in the human city. It seems that it really was a trap. Moreover, it was a precursor to this night’s events. If we don’t catch this Knight soon, it’s safe to assume that we will be hearing from her again.”
