PRINGLE TAYLOR is thirty, single, and a teacher at the Brooklyn Alternative School where she knows she is making a difference in the lives of underprivileged students. Her third floor walk-up in Park Slope is decorated just the way she likes it, and she considers her boyfriend, HUNTER, almost perfect.
Pringle’s days are spent in the classroom, while evenings are filled with helping those in need, dates with Hunter, or pouring over lesson plans for school. Best friend BROOKE, provides a constant support system as confidant, counselor, and comrade in adventure. It’s a life full of fun and joy until a series of events thrust her into emotional despair.
Complications emerge throwing Pringle’s organized life into a crisis mode. Out of the blue, Brooke embarks on a whirlwind marriage. While Pringle wants her to be happy, she’s afraid that Brooke has made an impulsive decision.
Within a few days, she’s faced with another unexpected dilemma. Hunter proposes and even though Pringle says yes, she wonders if it was the right decision. She is reluctant to set a wedding date or make any effort toward planning a future together, and while she doesn’t want to lose Hunter, she’s aware that something is missing. To further complicate matters, the headmaster of the school announces the school will close at the end of the semester due to lack of funding. Pringle is devastated. Will she take a job she doesn't want, or throw caution to the wind and dive into adventure?
Should she settle for a stable predictable life without passion and excitement, or break off the engagement?
