After the Glitter Fades is a collection of poetry and advice from Lynny Prince's mother Betty Jean Goff, who passed away in 2007. Betty wrote beautiful poetry about her love and loss during and after the Korean War, Vietnam and divorce. Betty lived, loved and lost during war time in the United States, and her poetry lay unpublished for over 50 years. Her faith in God, she often said, was the only thing that helped her through the most horrific times of her life. She wrote about the loss of her brother, life as a young widow, life after divorce, and many other trials and tribulations. In this poignant tribute, her daughter Lynny Prince shares pieces of her mother's life through gut-wrenching journal entries, beautiful poetry, and snippets of advice. This is a shortened version of a more detailed book that will be released at a later date. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this eBook will benefit the American Cancer Society.
