The eight years old twins Annabelle and John Strong were happily waiting for the big day. Halloween, the candy day. John couldn't decide what costume to wear, and Annabelle didn't want a costume this year, She just wanted to paint her face. John thought she was crazy, no costume when mom and dad are paying for them, is not only silly, plain stupid in his opinion. When the day arrived, John was dressed as a mad scientist, when Annabelle painted her face. So many new people had arrived to town, that their parents, Donald and Lilly Strong wanted to go with them. Lilly Strong went with Annabelle, while Donald went together with John. They both got more candy than they had anticipated, and Annabelle wanted to go over to her friend that lived only a few houses down the road. Mother told her that she had to be back in half an hour. When the half hour was gone, and Annabelle hadn't come back yet, Lilly phoned Annabelle's friend, But, she went back home for ten minutes ago. Lilly and Donald phoned the police and told them that Annabelle had been kidnapped. Two crocks, Joachim and Alex had kidnapped Annabelle when she was on her way home. Now they kept her in an old house quite far from her home. When Joachim told Alex to guard the girl, she picked up a baseball pat, and hit Alex so hard he fell unconscious to the floor. Then she picked up his gun, went out to the kitchen where Joachim was fixing some food. When he saw that Annabelle had a gun, he tried to take it from her. She shot him in the leg, then she went out to call the police, and her parents. When the police arrived, Joachim and Alex were taken to jail, It didn't take long before they told the police who had been paying them fo4r kidnapping little Annabelle.
