Mike Blanch was having a quiet day at home when suddenly a knock on his door made him wake up. Opening the door, he saw two policemen standing outside. "How can I help you, gentlemen? "We are looking for a Mike Blanch," said one of the two. "You just found him," answered Mike with a smile. Before he had a chance to say something else, he was handcuffed and taken down to a private car. "Are you from the local precinct?" Asked Mike as the car started to drive towards the airport. During the journey Mike tried to mentally contact his friend Ralph Scarpatti, he was successful, and by the time they reached the air-port, The airport security together with local police took Mike, un-cuffed him, and after a few minutes Detective Al Laurence together with Ralph came and drove Mike home.
Later when sitting in Mikes apartment drowning a few beers, They found out through one of the maintenance people that a criminal, Max Cool was behind the kidnapping. "I know where his girlfriend Jane Wider lives, she might be able to give us a clue. Finding this woman, both Mike and Ralph explained that Max was behind a kidnapping, and as that is a federal crime, he is in trouble. It was even found out that Max Cool had put out a contract on Jan Wider for ten thousand. Now the fun started.
