When sorcerer Adwen was called to the castle, he was told that a young boy had been found walking from the West. Out there is nothing, said Knight Oswald. We have no idea where he could have come from. Can I see the boy? said Adwen and as he followed Knight Oswald he came to the women's section. In there he saw this little buy together with the Kings physician Paul. After he had been given some food, and water, the boy told Adwen that his name was Roran Dale. Then the boy explained that he had run away from his home because the people in the village wanted to offer his heart to some God. Roran chose to live with Adwen and the dragon Turwin, in their cave. Sorcerer Adwen leached the boy to become a sorcerers apprentice. In the cave Roran started to learn to read. Turwin, Adwen and Roran returned to Roran's village. There Turwin said, If you touch a hair on Roran's head, I will incinerate your entire village. If you need to kill someone to please your God, kill your governor. The people followed Turwin's suggestion, and took the governor Hilt instead of Roran. When they were about to kill the governor, a rain started, and after a while the rain become heavy, and saved the crop. Later they had to help the people of the village with some hunting for food, and with Turwin's help the hunters succeeded to kill four animals that was enough for the village. Adwen had to show the new governor, Roran's father, that the town around needed hay for all the animals, and as the prairie was full of hay, the village could make a good living by cutting it, and selling to the Kings merchants.
