Jenny achieves her Registered General status and acquires a role as a theatre staff nurse at Leeds General Hospital U.K. There she meets Sebastian known as Seb. He is a charismatic, intelligent, handsome, dusky-skinned Surgical Registrar from Nepal. He is also arrogant and fiercely ambitious.

Jenny falls deeply in love with him, ignoring her mother’s protestations and they buy a flat together.

Jenny fails to recognise the signs that from her lover’s point of view all is not well. When Jenny finally confronts Seb about his odd behaviour, he confesses to having a wife and two sons back in Nepal. That is when she leaves him.

Eventually she marries someone a banker and they have a son. Jenny’s husband’s untimely death creates a massive void in her life. She continues her nursing career and finds solace in her role as a senior staff nurse and in raising her little boy along with her Mother’s help.

Twenty years pass since her interlude with Sebastian when suddenly her life once again becomes interesting and exciting.
