Years of Silence

Feeling alone and abandoned Maggie Sevilla grabs her sketchpad and heads over to the steps by the Rose Garden on the Santa Clara campus. She obsessively sketches Nobili Hall trying to exorcise the hold her old dormitory has on her, the place where one terrible night her life was irrevocably altered.

Located next to Nobili is Montgomery Hall and Carlo Rossini's there in Joe's art studio on the third floor. He's sitting in an open window while watching Joe paint. Looking out over the Rose Garden he sees Maggie sitting on the steps furiously sketching away. He calls out to her. He can see he spooked her but when she recognizes Carlo she waves and smiles up at him. Neither aware of the outcome this chance meeting will have on both their lives.
