Dare Cassandra turn her back on the Master?‎

Alone in the middle of the Pacific, on an Island where the nuclear ‎powered Wren is safe from all government interference, Cassandra takes ‎her flying to new heights. However they are not really alone; and Dr. ‎Tregont does not seem to appreciate the danger the Master presents; even ‎though he built the Wren to counter exactly this hazard.‎

Cassandra Samantha Reid; child prodigy and master-‎class pilot. The Wren: nuclear-powered war machine ‎with space capabilities; vast power and depths ‎unplumbed even by its creator. Together the girl and ‎the machine seem able to do anything, go anywhere but ‎Doctor Tregont, creator of the Wren, knows full well ‎that together they may not be enough. There is in the ‎black of space a peril that threatens more than the ‎power balances on Earth; hurtling through the terrible ‎void is a menace that seeks to destroy all life on the ‎face of the world. Nevertheless the danger that is ‎hurtling through space towards them is simple and ‎clear, unlike the danger that is waiting for its chance on ‎Black Crag itself. Cassandra soon discovers that being ‎the best and having the only lethal weapon in the ‎universe, is not enough when she realises that she can ‎no longer trust anybody; the Doctor, the Wren, or ‎herself.‎
