Harvey Glatman was imprisoned at a young age for violence toward women in Boulder, Colorado. He was obsessed with ropes and asphyxiation deaths and torture. He moved with his family, first from New York to Colorado, then back to NY for a summer visit as a teenager. His mother assisted him in getting permission to travel to New York. There he promptly got into trouble again in Yonkers. He served time at Elmira and then Sing Sing before he gained his freedom in the 1950s. It was then that he began his final spree of torture in the California deserts, i.e. San Diego County. He worked as a tv repairman and recruited women to pose for bondage photos. Then he took them to isolated locales and tortured them by tying them up and killing them. My book looks closely at the known murders committed by Glatman, as well as one that has recently been tied to him in Boulder.
