Wiliiam J. "Wild Bill" Lovett was an Irish gangster whose pursuit of Al Capone led to Scarface exiting New York City for Chicago. A deal was worked out by Chicago mobster Johnny Torrio to move Capone after Wild Bill pursued him for killing an underling. Bill Lovett was chief of the White Hand Gang, a notorious crime organization in Brooklyn's Red Hook section. A psychopath Bill once shot a man he was playing cards with.
