If you’re lucky enough to come from a long line of women who have aged spectacularly, well bully for you. If you’re like me, and are descended from a bunch of overweight, sedentary alcoholics, you might have to work a bit harder to create your own anti-aging success story. As a 55 year old woman who is still fit and attractive, I get a lot of compliments on my appearance, but the truth is, I’ve had to work really hard to look this good at my age. If I’m still in my prime, it’s because I’ve not only done my research, but I put this knowledge into action every day of my life.

My biggest pet peeve is when I spend money on anti-aging books from my favorite celebs and former models, only to find that they’re full of plugs for beauty products, fitness equipment, or outlandish diet plans. I’m looking for advice that will help me, not line someone else’s pockets!

There seems to be a void out there when it comes to practical, inexpensive beauty and anti-aging advice for real women – this is why I decided to write my own book.  After 30 years as a freelance writer specializing in beauty, fitness, and anti-aging, I do know something about this topic. I also have many friends, my age and older, who look gorgeous (friends who don’t have the advantages of a personal chef or unlimited cosmetic surgery budgets!)   I can’t wait to share with you the wisdom I’ve gained through my own years of beauty trial and error, and the tips I’ve learned from my beautiful friends and Aging Mentors. I have also done my homework on the latest science in anti-aging, and have some really interesting research to share with you.

I invite you to look me up on Facebook, where I love to post beauty tips and chat about trends in anti-aging. I always welcome friend requests from fans!

"...finally an honest look at aging, with some very practical advice for real women."

"A funny, refreshing take on Middle Age... Well researched and well written."

"If you're thinking 'oh just another anti-aging book -- trust me, once you start reading, you won't be able to put this one down."

"A must-read for any woman who cares about her appearance."
