Is it possible that Elves (and for that matter Dwarves and Goblins a well) are among us today? Living and loving, fighting with us… and occasionally against us… and every now and then among themselves? What if we became romantically involved with them and they could take us with them when they went back and forth to their world?

Jon Pritchard finds out when he rescues “Ellen,” a “bad girl in trouble,” only to discover that she’s an Elf, and that he has put himself and Jenny, his sixteen year old asthmatic daughter, in the middle of a longstanding feud between two vengeful and bitter Elves. One, Hans, a former SS officer and now “soldier-of-fortune” with his own private army, is attempting kill Jon’s new girlfriend…his former lover and mother of his missing son. The other, Gildor, “Ellen’s” cousin, is attempting to rescue her…while making Jon’s daughter his own…and seeing to the Han’s demise, who he blames for the death of his mother a couple thousand years before.

After the “Skinheads” he hired fail to kill Ellen, Hans comes to America to do it himself. He complicates things when he inadvertently wounds and cripples Charlotte, one of their female captives, when he assaults the neo-Nazi compound, in retaliation for their attempted murder of one of his soldier’s love interests. He falls for her, and ends up having Ellen kidnapped instead of killed. She ends up in his castle in Germany, where they are followed by Jon and George (the family doctor and much more). As Ellen and Hans battle each other, they are forced to fight Goblins as well, who invade the castle through an ancient passage beneath it. This attack is beaten back but it soon become apparent that the Goblins are planning a major invasion using the pass of Brunea…a pass Ellen failed to defend over 60 years before.

Gildor and Jenny are already in Brunea. And, after rescuing a family from the Goblins with the help of Dwarves, are fortifying his old family castle, rebuilding its fallen walls, and collecting refugees to form an army. They take a break from this to help rescue Ellen. Hans and Charlotte wed, but the problem of the pass still remains. Much bitterness and hatred must disappear if they are to join together again to aid the “Black Elf of Brunea” in repelling the Goblin invasion. One young wheelchair-bound lady may become a widow, and a teenaged girl will become a queen as the Elves fight to reclaim yet another region of their realm.
