VIPER 5 -Vengeance is the fifth "Black Ops" novel in the Viper series by David Baker.
Having returned from operation ‘Fog of Death’ in Cyprus, six of the Viper Squad were immediately sent to the Syrian border with Turkey.
Their role, to find tunnels the European Jihadists are using to cross the border and to identify them by means of fitting covert cameras on the Syrian side.
Against their wishes, Viper’s 5 and 6, Constance and Phil, are ordered to take some long overdue leave.
Viper 5 settles down for her week’s holiday aboard her long boat moored in a small marina, in East Yorkshire.
She is disturbed in the early hours of the morning, by persons breaking into a nearby warehouse.
What she discovers and the subsequent rapidly unfolding events, means she needs help and fast!
Viper 6’s leave is cancelled and he is flown up to assist her.
With the rest of the Squad in Syria, they have no choice, but to go it alone.
Constance and Phil go against protocol; their devious and irresponsible plans are kept secret from the commander of Viper.
What they unearth is the biggest ever plot to disable Britain’s infrastructure. The ignition in this cycle of events will totally decimate towns and villages in East Yorkshire.
Weapons of mass destruction are defined as; Weapons that are capable of a high order of destruction and being used in such a manner as to destroy large numbers of people.
Yorkshire has four of these weapons hidden somewhere. Are they static or mobile?
Where, when and how will they be detonated and who is really behind it?
