Vampire Dolls Legend of Adocinda
Chasing down a lead on the location of the last remaining vampire nest, a lone hunter stumbles across a ritual where she witnesses a horror no one could have imagined. She watched as a beautiful Victorian doll sat up and began moving on its own. She shuddered as glistening fangs dropped down from under her painted lips. She needed to warn the other hunters, but would anyone believe her?
***
Afraid of vampires? You’re safe as long as you don’t invite them in. Everyone knows vampires can’t enter your home without an invitation.
Afraid of dolls? Everyone knows they are just inanimate play things used to amuse children. And they are welcome in every home.
Adocinda, murdered as a vampire, is reawakened in the body of a beautiful porcelain doll, by a mystical wizard. She quickly swears to get vengeance against the hunters that took her life and that of her beloved life-mate, Barnabus.
She needs to acquire more dolls. The plan is set in motion when she is found by an innocent child and taken home, where she can acquire more dolls to be reanimated as vampires.
All was proceeding as planned for the vampire dolls. They were able to hide in plain sight and wait for their meals to go to sleep allowing them to feed. The next step would be to acquire seven human hearts before the Blood Moon, for a secret ritual that would give them even greater power over the humans.
Yes, the plan was perfect, or would have been if not for a lone hunter witnessing Adocinda’s transformation from her desecrated human shell into the doll vessel that she now inhabited.
The police are left with more questions than answers as they investigate murders where no finger prints or clues are left behind. The only thing they know for sure is the trail of bodies and blood, was continuing to grow.
Alden had learned the unbelievable truth, however, convincing the other hunters that the recent rash of gory deaths was the result of possessed dolls, proved to be laughable.
He did not receive the reaction he expected. Ridiculed and laughed at, he hoped by the time they realized what he was telling them was true, about vampires reanimating themselves into the bodies of dolls, would not come at too high a price.
Now, Alden, Jack, and the other hunters, find themselves in the fight of their lives.
