This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of The Power of God are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore three topics, from different verses in the books of Habakkuk and Zechariah. They are: God’s work; What God is doing in our days; and Bringing down mountains.
Excerpts:
God’s work
“I believe the prayer of Anna, called a prophetess, (so she was no mean woman, but one under divine direction) has a direct relationship to the manifestation of Jesus. She probably prayed the words of a psalm which goes thus: “lift up your heads or ye gates and be lifted up ye everlasting doors and that king of Glory may come in” as she prayed for the manifestation of Jesus (Luke 2:36-38).”
What God is doing in our days
“The last of the creation of God is man and that translates into the intention of God to have one new man, Jews and gentiles (Ephesians 2:15), the intention of God is for the church to exhibit full maturation and confidence of manliness (Ephesians 4:10-25, 1Samuel 4:9, 1Corinthians 16:13).”
Bringing down mountains
“Jesus is not after picking fault with you. That we are full of mountains of filth is not a revelation to Jesus. He knows that the only solution is his grace, and we run away from him at our own peril.”
