I wrote this book to help people who are struggling as I was and to tell them there is hope!
When I look back on my life, I realize how fortunate I have been to have had a strong faith since childhood. This faith helped me through the pain and emotional turmoil that occurs after a head injury.
My husband died suddenly. I was only thirty at the time. While still grieving, I married unwisely. As a result, I lived with an alcoholic for ten years. Several years later, after he had remarried, my second husband died also.
I was a single parent raising two teens when I felt strongly that God wanted me to help others and become a minister. I struggled through six years of university, while raising my children and working part time as a practical nurse.
While attending university, I also started the process of healing through counselling and psychology courses. I graduated in 1997 with a degree in Biblical Studies and a concentration in Psychology. It is a miracle for someone with a head injury to accomplish a degree.
I am now an ordained minister. I have also remarried. One of my greatest joys has been spending quality time with my five grandchildren.
