The motherland’s sovereignty over this Indonesian archipelago was abruptly and horrifically turned upside down when the Japanese invaded the islands in World War II. The Dutch-Indonesian population (Indos) went from ruling class to outcast almost overnight.

          TWO TO BE REMEMBERED is the biography of one Indo couple, steeped in Dutch-Indonesian heritage, who suffered the terrible hardships of the war and the subsequent Indonesian uprising. It is a story of miraculous survival and the eventual emigration to a safe and prosperous life in America.
