This is a true story of a Kiwi Couples adventures following "The Tour de France," their harrowing experience with the thieves of Pisa and a life changing accident in New Zealand.

As one journey finishes and another starts, their whole world gets turned upside down when a New Zealand hospital administers Morphine, unbeknown to Kerry and then allow him to drive.

Unconscious and well hidden from the road, after careering over an embankment, he is lucky a local couple who witnessed the accident pull him out of the wreckage.

Helicoptered to Wellington ICU. he spends the next seven days in a haze of unknown. The head injuries, broken back, neck, rib and arm become his wife's nightmare. Each step forward is followed by several backward steps.

The next year  is spent trying to get acknowledgement from the hospital to accept liability, but it's a hollow win, with the system New Zealand has adopted with ACC. no compensation is payable, so unemployed and with no income, yet another battle is on their hands.
