Blake Summers Tribes 'written by S.W Best, L.A Richards' follows a struggling family who have managed to survive the worst cataclysmic event to rock and shatter the modern world. Our story begins seven years after the event known as ‘the reckoning’. To survive, the young family must do everything they can, Pillage, salvage, steal and fight when there is no other options available. Societies collapse is not the only terrors they have to face.
The story is set in north-east England, in one of the world’s most dangerous, broken cities Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where gangs have become organised and have established tribal laws. But it gets worse, Blake is questioning (Elisia) his wife’s love towards him. Elisia, is fighting demons of her own and becoming more fragile with every passing day, while their baby daughter (Megan) is medically dependent and their medicine supply is running dangerously low.
Finding medicine is difficult and dangerous, but Blake knows that one of the tribes has a supply on a defunct, rusty ship which is permanently docked in the harbor a few miles from their abode. This leads Blake and his trusted companion Diesel, (husky) to risk everything and put their lives in danger; they have no choice but to sneak on-board the vessel to steal the much needed medicine. Unfortunately all does not go according to plan, and Blake is torn apart after being forced to turn a gun on Diesel. With the loss of his dog Blake descends into a dark, chaotic world of his own making.
Following a fierce argument with Elisia, Blake storms out of their abode and retreats to his own secret sanctum, a place he often visited with Diesel, right in the heart of the once thriving city. With his mind back in order, Blake starts to leave, to return back to his family however, he gets caught up in a clash between two neighboring tribes.
After being captured by a tribe called the Reapers, Blake must carefully plan for his fight for freedom; if he gets it wrong they will kill him. He must survive or his dependent family will die. But all is not right within the Reapers tribe. The Reaper’s leader known as Grimm, is either very intelligent or totally insane.
Blake, a once young, successful, millionaire businessman is no stranger to manipulating people, so it doesn’t take long for him to gain favor with Grimm, and to escape.
Unsure of his feelings towards his wife and her failing health, Blake goes back to the Reapers base where he is reunited with Yakov, from the neighboring tribe, who want revenge.
By gunpoint, Blake is ordered to a former football stadium which has been transformed into a gladiatorial arena, which is used to resolve tribal disputes.
Elisia and Megan are brutally murdered, and Blake is forced to fight to the death; but in this wasteland there is a glimmer of hope. Hope for a better future. For everyone.
‘Blake Summers Tribes’ proves that if you have the spirt to fight, you will win.
