Trapped in a Dream

Teacher Faith Fernandez and Neurologist Christian Luxford have never met but vaguely perceive each other telepathically. It is somewhat maddening. They have no idea how or why, and aren’t even sure the other exists, so each grapple with it in their own way: Faith conforms to believing it is a figment of her imagination, while Chris naturally defaults to fearing insanity. At the end, a brutal twist of fate will reveal a far more sinister reality: Whatever the initial reason for their connection, it has now become their death sentence. When Faith is viciously attacked, she winds up in an apparent coma at Chris’ hospital under his care. Stunned to discover she is very real, he also soon realizes she is in fact alert and aware of what is going on around her, but prisoner of a paralyzed body, dependent on him for access to the outside world. With the attacker still lurking and things quickly spinning out of control, Chris sets out to resolve the mystery. Their survival will depend on Chris’ grit to confront the unsettling truth he uncovers about his past and Faith’s resolve to master their cursed skill.
