Tourism on Congo Brazzaville. One of the objectives of the Congolese government is to make tourism a real growth industry that can contribute to local development. With the Congo Basin rainforests are the second largest after Amazonia, the country has a unique potential to attract visitors from all over the world. But the country’s potential is not restricted to forests and its exceptional fauna. It is dotted with 170 km of coastline and many other sights to see.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has been helping the Congo Brazzaville to draft a sustainable development of tourism through the network of national parks and protected areas of the CEMAC. Six projects of trans boundary protected areas have been identified in the sub-region of Central Africa, as part of the formulation of this project: the Sangha Tri National (Cameroon, Central African Republic, and Congo); Mikele Odjala-Dja (Cameroon, Congo, Gabon); Lesson Bateke Lefini (Gabon, Congo); Mayumba-Conkouati-Gamba (Gabon, Congo).
