Tour Confidential will open up people’s eyes to the enjoyment, sacrifices, heartache, torture and isolation one endures in attempting to chase the dream of being a professional athlete. Having spent the past ten years travelling the globe as a professional golfer, I have achieved some great success, but the majority of my time has been spent sacrificing friendships, relationships and a lot of money in order to one day grab a chunk of that big carrot that was dangling in front of me. I have had some wonderful experiences and brushes with fame, celebrity and fortune, but I have also seen the other end of the spectrum way too often where you delve to the depths of despair. Over time, I came to the realization that happiness in life is not determined by the size of one’s house, the style of car you drive or how much money you have, it’s whether you are surrounded by friends and family who have your best interests at heart, along with inner peace. The purpose of this book is not to discourage any aspiring athlete but to mentor them as to the potential forks in the road they will encounter. Golf is a sport played by people of all ages and races worldwide and through my experiences, I believe I can give them insight to the requirements necessary in order to reach their full potential.
