An ex-cop harbors a deadly secret. How can he protect a woman in danger?

Young widow Sharon Mahoney moves with her seven-year-old son into a Victorian rooming house, where she’s drawn to ex-policeman Ian Fanning. But Ian, a gifted artist, is obsessed with painting the woman his grandfather murdered—who looks exactly like Sharon.

As the suspense builds in their small town, the old murder case seems to be playing out anew, with startling twists. Does the vengeful spirit of Ian’s grandfather have unfinished business? It seems that only Ian can save Sharon—by putting his own life at risk.

You'll be hooked by the strong female protagonist and the intense, surprising turns. This fast-paced romantic thriller was written by USA Today bestselling novelist Jacqueline Diamond, author of the Safe Harbor Medical Mysteries. A former Associated Press reporter, Jacqueline has sold more than a hundred books—mysteries, medical romances and Regency romances—to a range of publishers. Her other romance mysteries include in And the Bride Vanishes, Sheikh Surrender and His Secret Son.

What reviewers say about Touch Me in the Dark:

A great story. Well-written…I couldn’t wait to find out how it all played out. This was my first read of Jacqueline Diamond but it won’t be my last.
--Carol Conley, imavoraciousreader

Fantastic read! …there really is a twist at the end! Generally I figure out who the bad guy (or girl) is a quarter or halfway through, however this time I truly was blindsided. I won't spoil it for you, but I strongly recommend you give Touch Me in the Dark a go.

Touch Me in the Dark ensnared me in its roller coaster story line, entertaining and thrilling me as Ms. Diamond skillfully unraveled mystery after mystery. The setting, an old Victorian house complete with spooky attic and eerie ghost, was masterfully painted by Ms. Diamond and each of her compelling characters added dramatically to the intrigue. Little by little Ms. Diamond built the suspense, reeling in her readers for a dynamic climax. Touch Me in the Dark continues to excite me, so much so that I recommend this fascinating book to one and all.
