This is a collection of 40 poems dealing with problems with which people deal at various times in their lives. Although it does not adopt the exclusive view of any one religion, it espouses principles that are basic to all of them, taking the position that all major problems are spiritual in nature and thus require spiritual solutions. This rejects the notion that strictly material efforts can provide lasting answers to man's deepest concerns or that true satisfaction can come from artificial means such as drugs or alcohol. Rather, it seeks to provide people with words to meditate upon and absorb, the end result being the dissolution of fear, which is the main source of our pain.
