There is No Need For A Mail Order Husband: Finding Toby Down By The Stream, is a romance about a young woman who helps out as much as she can on her family’s farm, but also loves to take a break when she is able, by riding her horse down to a stream on the edge of their property, and reading the bible. One day she catches a glimpse out of the corner of her eye of something moving, and worried about wolves, she rides hurriedly back home. The next day a young man who has moved to a nearby farm with his family introduces himself and they become friends. She finds herself falling in love with him but when, weeks later, he rushes past her farm without even stopping, she is worried that he wants to break off their friendship and she despairs at ever finding out what’s really wrong.
