A book of the authors original poetry coupled with his original needlepoint. Many of the poems have been written to be included on the needlepoint work. The author has tried over forty years to push the boundaries of original needlepoint design whilst keeping faith with a British tradition of including words in the design of the sewn work. With forty-nine illustrations (in colour if downloaded to tablet readers) the work takes form in cushions, contemporised samplers and wall hangings, covering bed heads and panels. The poetry spans a lifetime, the first written circa 1967, the last a tribute written in 2014 to a great-Uncle killed in 1917 in the First World War.
