Ever felt under spiritual attack as a Christian? Felt depressed and not sure of the real source of the depression? Unable to relate what you are going through spiritually with your friends and relatives? Want to know more about the dynamics of spiritual warfare and intercession? Then this book is for you.

The Wild Bulls of Korea is,on the one hand, an account of the author's mid-life decision to change career path, and ,on the other, an eye-opening insight into the dynamics of the spiritual conflict we are involved in as Christians. It is an honest account of the stresses and mental and emotional highs and lows that mark those who make drastic changes in career or leave home for a foreign land,- increasingly a situation for many in the global village.

The author describes how, having experienced with his family the disruption and stress caused by the two significant Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011, he attempts to start a new career in English teaching. He finds work in Paju, South Korea after being invited by a pastor to assist in planting a church there. He goes forth optimistically with dual goals-to teach in a middle school and to assist the pastor in planting a new English-speaking church.

This was just prior to a period of increasing tension between the two Koreas, and between North Korea and the West. After months of stress caused by a combination of inadequate training, support and spiritual factors, the author is taken to hospital with what appeared to be a serious, perhaps life-threatening, illness.

The book describes how the author recognized the spiritual assault that came against him and how he was able to engage the Enemy with the spiritual weapons God has made available to us as believers, and recover sufficiently to finish his teaching contract- in a place of isolation, deprivation and without family to assist.

John Reason proves it is possible to defeat the demonic forces that are arrayed against us as children of God, with nothing more than faith and the Bible. He weaves the story of his experience into a practical teaching on how to receive freedom from fear, stress and mental oppression and how, like him, we can overcome all attacks against our life with the power of God, the Word of God and by walking the Love Walk.

This is a book that not only prospective missionaries and apostolic teams will find useful and encouraging, but also anyone who has had to battle fear and depression, or encountered spiritual resistance (even though they love God), or even anyone who has felt overwhelmed by the pressures of life. “No matter how impossible your situation is, there is a way out,” says John.
