‘My father had replied once, when I asked him about the people who seemed to be unexplainable and everywhere, – the world is full of shadow men and silent organisations. It is a sign of the times we live in and the fear that goes with it. It took me a while to realise that I belonged to one of the silent groups and had become part of the shadows.’ Saccharissa lives in a post Catastrophe world and if you’re not a Normal then you’re a Talent… a freak. Working as part of the Team, she uses her ‘difference’ to help the reluctant authorities with their psychopaths, murderers and criminals. A bad day with a knife welding psycho sends Saccharissa off on a trip into the past and the streets of New York, her father’s childhood home. Where she learns about the meaning of true friendship, loss and betrayal; where the lines between freak and Normal are blurred and the future is changing fast. And then there are the ‘rogues’ those freaks who are off the grid.
