The Unjust, Dust, And Hope

To understand what happened out in the desert—in what had been the town of Dobson in the Arizona territory—on February 5th, 1877, you need to know what had come before.

And Cleve Biddle begins not only his story, but also one of injustice. A story intertwined with the racial history of America, the nation’s future, and the murder of Leroy Roosevelt, the young man Cleve raised as his own son.

Cleve sees a dark future for America already filled with lynchings and Black Laws. Otis, the clairvoyant, believes mankind will come to their better natures. These two men with memories of enslavement face the impossible in the desert and an uncertain future.
