The witch has her ways at the Crossroads tavern.

Mike a small time drug dealer from out of town, travels to the Crossroads to consummate what he believes will be a routine drug deal, but what he gets is involvement in a murder investigation, an infatuation with a mysterious barmaid, a trip into the supernatural, and bouts with his own internal demons.

Lowell is Mike’s drug contact who sends Mike on harrowing missions to pick up his product. On each of these trips Mike experiences a feeling that he is being watched that quickly evolves into a force that can influence and even control his actions. Eventually he has a vision of a woman who Mike comes to believe is leading him to somewhere or to someone.

The more Mike becomes involved with Lowell, and the pretty barmaid at the Crossroads, the more intertwined he becomes in the murder investigation, of which Lowell is the prime suspect. Unsure of what to do, he is afflicted one more time with “the feeling”

This will lead him finally to the swamp itself, where Mike will have to face the consequences of all his thoughts, deeds, and actions with the Swamp Witch.
