Heather R Walker has been writing poems and short stories for many years and has recently had an anthology of verse published entitled ~ Secrets of the Heart ~ The Hidden Messages of Love? This is the first of her stories for children to be published under her family name of Ashmore. Heather R Walker was born in Bickley, Kent and educated at Bromley High School for Girls (GPDST). On leaving school, she undertook a two year Business Studies course at Pitmans College, London, from where her first assignment took her to working in the field of publishing. This subsequently led to her involvement in numerous diverse disciplines over the years within the world of commerce. Eventually she moved from her native Kent to live in Cheshire, where she brought up her four children. Now living in a very beautiful part of rural Shropshire and having retired from the world of commerce, she is able to pursue her passion for writing. Continuing to take great pleasure and delight in being able to create magical rides for all her readers to enjoy.
