The Story of Drashup and the Goddesses

Tibetian fairy-tales reflected the wisdom of the Tibetian people and belongs to the heritage of one of the oldest cultures. Many of these tales have a sacred core as they tell us of the creation of the world, the origin of various natural forces, of the afterlife as Tibetians see it according to their Buddhist-driven beliefs.

The story tells us about Drashap, a man who was poor and lonely. One day he went to the mountain to get some sleep. And at the same time a girl was born in the village, the girl whose fate was foretold by goddesses…
