Theo the merboy is the son of the King of the sea. He is about to undergo
his initiation with Orpheus the wise oyster of the kingdom and become a merman.
Unfortunately when he arrives at Orpheus's Cavern he finds him out of sorts as
Orpheus's pearl has been stolen and with the pearl gone so has all his knowledge
and wisdom. Theo and Orpheus must follow the trail of the pearl and undergo many
adventures. They have to race against time for if they do not find it before the
next full moon Orpheus will remain senseless and dull and all the kingdom will
be in disarray.
