The book is a monograph based mainly on the ideas in the scientific article “The Speed of Light Postulate and Uncertainty Principle of the Macro-world in the General Relativity” presented at the 3rd Annual International Conference on Physics, 20-23 July 2015, Athens, as well as other articles published by the author.
The book is divided in 4 parts:
PART I presents a thorough scientific analysis (corresponding to the physical reality) of all the “unexpected” and “unexplained” results of the most famous experiments related to the behavior and measurement of the speed of light. Sagnac experiment, Michelson-Gale-Pearson experiment, and the light speed anisotropy in the experiments “one-way measurement of the speed of light” are analyzed. They demonstrate undeniably that the measured speed of light is not the same in all inertial frames of reference. Finally, the analysis of the “Michelson-Morley experiment” proves that the inappropriate idea embedded in the construction of the Michelson’s interferometer is actually the primary cause for the delusion that “the speed of light is the same for all inertial frames of reference”, which is the core of the special theory of relativity.
PART II contains the scientific contribution of this monograph – a concept of physical reality in the Universe based on facts: “Model of Uncertainty of the Universe”. It turns out that the hypothetical ether is actually the space-time itself. “Thesis about the behavior of the electromagnetic radiation in the gravitational field” is presented, which rejects the “postulate of the constancy of the speed of light”. In addition, a well-grounded explanation of the Fiseau experiment on the speed of light in moving water is presented, which so far has no acceptable scientific explanation.
PART III of the book “Revealing the Essence of the Special Theory of Relativity” shows an in-depth scientific analysis of the article “On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies”, where the special theory of relativity was published in 1905 in the journal Annalen der Physik. The analysis shows exactly where and how the claim “the speed of light is the same in all inertial frames of reference” was applied. This claim, however, has been proven to be false.
PART IV of the book “What is the Truth and the Proof in the Science?” unveils the most common objectionable techniques used in the “fundamental tests” of the special theory of relativity. One of the most used techniques is the “liar paradox”. For example, using this trick, Kurt Gödel demonstrated the “Theorems of Incompleteness” that THE TRUTH-VALUE OF A STATEMENT CANNOT BE EVALUATED BY REFERENCE TO THE TRUTH-VALUE OF THE STATEMENT ITSELF. Some of the existing misconceptions in modern physics are also shown in this part of the book.
Finally, the actual physical meaning of the Lorenz transformations is shown in the Appendix. It is explained in an interesting (engineering) way why the Lorenz transformations have their mathematical value in the field of mathematics, but not in the field of physics where they do not correspond to the physical reality.
In fact, the book is very descriptive, interesting for a very wide range of curious people – and corresponds to the level of mathematics and physics in the secondary school.
However, there are two problems:
THE FIRST PROBLEM arises before the reader even decides to read the book – they think that the special theory of relativity is too complicated for them.
THE SECOND PROBLEM would arise after they have read the book. Then, they would see that the source of “incomprehension” is actually the inconsistency of the special theory of relativity with the physical reality, with the state of things as they actually exist! But then one would say: “This delusion cannot be so obvious. If so, why it has been maintained by the modern physics for more than 100 years?”. Why this delusion still continues to be supported by the physical society? Unfortunately, the author also has no answer to this question.
