This is a story about two con men, Nick and his protege Max. One day Nick receives an email from a bank informing him that a rich, eccentric uncle of his has died and left him a large sum of money. Nick goes to the bank and verifies the story. His uncle had specified that he must be married if he is to inherit the money. If he fails to meet this condition, then the inheritance will go to his cousin Brady, who is currently in prison and will be released in 30 days.
Nick finds a marriage officer who is willing to issue him a marriage license if he and his "fiancee" will spend the weekend with him. At the last minute, the woman who had agreed to pose as his fiancee changes her mind. Nick is forced to improvise by having his protege Max, play the role of his fiancee.
