The Search For a Real Christmas Tree

will wombat’s demanding grandson wants a story, so will decides to tell him a true story about a few of their big blue water hole neighbors. these three australian bush animal friends, a koala, a cockatoo and a kangaroo, were tired of having a grubby old gum tree branch as their christmas tree every year. that year, they wanted a real christmas tree and they stopped at (almost) nothing to get one! ben koala, cockie bill and bob kangaroo got more adventure than they anticipated, and certainly more than they ever expected, as they bumbled towards their goal. their search took them into the great big swamp, across the very stony desert, over the dingo fence, through the sandy plain and, finally up sky high mountain. along the way, even though they faced danger at every turn, they did make some new friends. in the end did they ever get their real christmas tree? read the story to find out!
