There are many legends about dangerous beings called Nightwalkers. These beings have been preying on the people of Africa for centuries. They move between villages and kill without any remorse. Nightwalkers is an African term andthe best western term for them would be psychopaths. Yet Nightwalkers are more than mere psychopaths. They are deceitful shape-changers who live among humans without being human themselves. They torture, rape, kill and destroy without any emotion.
One of these, the Belgian nightwalker, is a man that killed and raped gay men throughout the world and now he is at it again, in the Netherlands. His motive is unclear and contradictory, because the crime scenes show traces of both hate and romance. There is something sinister about these murders that call for the help of more than ordinary police investigators. Fortunately there is a team of investigators that makes it their job to catch Nightwalkers; a team that has been brought together by the Queer Magician. The Magician and his team have caught Nightwalkers for centuries, but this nightwalker proves to be an even greater foe than anyone before him.
The Belgian nightwalker is some sort of artist that enjoys decorating the crime scenes with religious drawings, symbols and clues. That persuades the magician’s investigators to ask the help of a team of religious fanatics. As the story progresses it is clear that every member of the religious task-force has their own homosexual baggage and the investigators start to suspect that the murderer is among them.
