Marie-Catherine d'Aulnoy (1650-1705) was a French writer, who was considered the one who developed the genre of aclassical French fairy-tale. Her most popular fairy-tales were: 'The Story Of Pretty Goldilocks', 'The Blue Bird' and 'The Imp Prince'. Once upon a time there lived a king with his queen. Unfortunately they lost all their children but were waiting for one more girl to be born. They wanted to cherish her and tried to hire a nurse for her, but every woman they hired was instantly killed. The king found out that this was a doing of an evil fairy, someone he'd played a prank on in his childhood. The evil fairy cursed the young girl so she was doomed to be miserable for the firsrt twenty years of her life and for her own good she had to be kept in tower… what would happen to the girl?
