Joe is a soldier – a different kind of soldier. His Drill Sergeant called him a Berserker – a throwback – a warrior from the Olden-Times.
Joe isn’t exactly sure what he is. All he knows for sure is that, when the Rage comes on him, he changes. He becomes faster, stronger, and a much better fighter than a normal human.
After coming home on leave, he is hounded by well-wishers, so he goes into the mountains on a camping trip just to get some peace and quiet.
On his third day out he camps near some ancient ruins and accidentally gets caught in some kind of Portal or Dimensional Rift, and suddenly finds himself somewhere else.
There he meets up with an alien female in the same predicament as himself and together they battle the perils of this new world as they try to stay alive, and find their way back home.
