Poppies in the springtime have always been such a wonderful sight to me! I always shout, “Look at the poppies!” Then, I saw an elderly lady standing by her wheelchair and lovingly looking at a field of poppies and singing a joyful song. I greeted her and we sang a song together. We have been friends ever since. A fine lady enjoying spring and the joy of poppies. Join me as we laugh and play with the Poppies on the Hill!

More info for press release:

Poppies on the Hill is about a young boy and girl who befriend an elderly lady who enjoys planting and looking at poppies. The elderly lady (Mrs. Brannigan) always waited by her front gate for the boys and girls to be done with school and would hand out cookies for them to see. One day the elderly lady is not outside the young girl finds the lady not feeling very well. The little girl decides to plant the poppies on the hill for the lady to view. Read this coming of age story of seeing the prettier things in life such as the poppies and for the younger generation to understand the meaning of helping those that have helped us and to be there when someone is in trouble.
