In a fascinating place not all men are allowed in, Troy and his combined team of experienced and new, younger Nimrods will fulfill a mission to protect the inhabitants of Alphome from the atrocities and invasions of the insurgents. Over the centuries, King Gareths sword has become stronger and more difficult to carry. It can only be carried by a prutus cruor or a pure Nimrod. However, Troys team must find a higher form of prutus cruor who is directly descended from the lineage of King Gareth, because through the return of the sword to this higher form of Nimrod, life and fertility in Thorneum will be restored. How can they succeed if the only pure Nimrod they know does not accept the reality that he is the one? How can they succeed if there are contentions among his Nimrod team? How are the enemies discovering their plans? How can they fight their enemies when they are significantly outnumbered? Can love, betrayal, and heroism coexist in the same objective?
