The Old Man and the Dog

An old man, living out his twilight years alone, for whom life has become difficult, and in more ways than one. A burden he must endure, and one he doesn’t understand. Why has he lived so long? After a visit from his great-granddaughter and her children, he is surprised when a dog wanders to his house. A dog he has seen before, and it seems to the old man like a visit from an old friend. The old man will soon discover that there is a reason why the dog has come back, and that the deliverance he has sought for so long is finally at hand.
