Andrew Lang was a Scottish prolific author, mostly known as the collector of folk and fairy tales. “The Magic Mirror From the Senna” is a fairy tale entered in “The Orange Fairy Book”, that was published in 1906. The story tells about a man named Gopani-Kufa, who once during the hunting comes upon a strange sight – an enormous python caught an antelope and coils itself around it; the antelope resists and injuring the snake, but can not break free. Both animals ask the man for help, but Gopani-Kufa decides to stab the antelope and set the python free. The snake is turned the King of underground kingdom and he promises to reward Gopani-Kufa for his help. The man receives the magic mirror that grants any wish he makes.
