A simple cut on the finger is the end of fifteen year old Allison Keesh’s life as she knows it—not that her world hasn’t been rocked before. The planet Athenia was, of course, created from the destruction of Earth. That’s old news, though, and nothing Allie should have to think about, let alone worry over.

In fact, there’s no reason anyone should even suspect a problem exists on Athenia since Earth had existed for millions of years when it collapsed, and Athenia is a youthful 250 years old.

Plus, it’s perfect. Always.

If all that’s true, then why are people chasing Allie? More importantly, Allie really wants to know why this guy she just met, but who doesn’t go to her school, keeps showing up at the oddest times, sharing secrets she doesn’t want to hear, and has told her repeatedly that if she doesn’t do exactly as he says she’s going to die.

Seriously, why?

Allie has far better stuff to do than listen to some weird guy—like watch television and sleep. So Brandon Snipe can just back off. No matter what she does, though, he’s there, and when the rules of life on Athenia change, Allie will never be more grateful that he is.
