The Life Expected

Dean knows what he wants out of life and sets about making sure he gets it. Sean doesn't know what he wants out of life and runs into unexpected circumstances that take his life in different directions. As Dean grows successful he builds a world that he manipulates to what he sees as good, strong, and right. The price he pays for his success is with his own life, only he doesn't even know that is what happened. Sean experiences life as it comes and ends up learning that success is in how you treat others and big houses and fancy cars aren't the symbols of right. He studies his corporate heroes and emulates their successful manners. He plays football in high school and gets into Yale on a scholarship. He quickly sets about leaving behind the high school ways and his family to focus on learning what he needs to know to run his own business. He learns how to manipulate his classmates and gains a high paying internship that sets up on the path to owning his own company. Sean is his grade school friend who has no ambition to run a company but ends up at Yale with Dean. Sean drops out in the first semester as he befriends Amber who is stricken with cancer and needs his care. Sean begins working two jobs to support him and Amber and runs into a drama coach who takes him under her wing. Life circumstances keep changing for Sean and he neither resents nor cares what he wanted from what he has. He eldest son decides to go to Yale and takes on the same pattern as Dean.
