Al Greenwood, 11-year-old gaming legend, likes to be known as... ‘Dan’Qirk. I quest, I roam, I seek out aliens and I slay.’

Al obsesses with gaming on his Console 3 much to his mum's annoyance. Al finds himself banished from Mangledan (his home) by Queen Sarsha (his Mum) and he is forced to embark on imaginative quests. With the help of Sancho, his Border collie dog, Al has to tame and ride Rocky the charging goat to level up his magical powers.

Al must contend with his nemeses Mr. Rottonbottom- his next-door neighbour and guardian of the spawnling hives. Al has adventures mud-boarding with Sancho and Rocky even though Mr. Rottonbottom lurks nearby ready to turn Al and his friends into spawnling food. Reality and imagination are sometimes blurred for Dan'Qirk and most kids will relate to Al. Anyone who knows anything about gaming will also enjoy The Legend of Dan'Qirk.
